Mabel's Date Nut Balls

Ingredients: 1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg (beaten)
1 8 oz. pkg. pitted dates (chopped)
2 c. Rice Krispies
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 pkg. coconut
Directions: Mix butter, sugar, egg and pitted dates in a large sauce pan and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir until all ingredients are melted together.
Let cool.
Add the Rice Krispies and chopped nuts - mix well.
Shape mixture into small balls and roll in coconut.
